No, we're not pregnant. As much as I love my sweet husband, I've heard the stories of what a mischievous child he was, and I'm just not ready for that yet.

My first blog was supposed to go live months ago, but I never felt like I had anything worth sharing with you guys. Thanks for taking all the good stuff, Pinterest! I kid, I kid. PSA to anyone who continues to read my blogs. I tend to make bad jokes when I'm nervous about sharing anything, so be ready.

It is with an excitedly nervous heart, and a full glass of wine, that my husband and I would like to announce that we are moving to PORTLAND!

For some of you, this isn't a huge shock. We've been dreaming of this happening for a while, then we both just woke up one day and said "Why aren't we just doing this?" It was absolutely thrilling the day my husband turned his transfer papers in. We had to give his company a window of time that we would be available to move. Once we did that, I kind of just prayed that whatever was meant to be would happen and left it up to God. I told him that if this really was meant to be, we would just know.

Trevor got a phone interview three days into our transfer window. Three days later they offered him the highest volume store in the district and my heart just knew this was it! We went to Northface the next day and bought raincoats! 😂

We are currently in Portland this weekend to apartment hunt and of course, enjoy my favorite sandwich ever from Tilt (and a few beers).

As far as my wedding floral business goes, I will be flying back to California for all my currently booked brides, but for the time being, I will not be taking on new floral clients.

I've thought long and hard about what career I want to have when we start a family in the nearish future, and my goal is to transition more into stock photography, styling, and blogging. Every introverts dream, right?! Wedding florals will always have a special place in my heart, and I will continue to take a few select weddings in Oregon and freelancing jobs.

This is such a bittersweet move for us. Since the first time we visited Portland as a couple, we just knew it was our home. We both have PNW tattoos, love beer, hate hot weather, and can't resist being just a little bit hipster. It's a perfect fit! On the other hand, we love our family and friends here in California so much and feel so sad to add 991 miles between us. Luckily, we hope to eventually have a nice guest room for all of you to come visit (not all at once please, or this introvert might spontaneously combust)!
